2330 130th Ave NE Building C, Suite 102 . . . ![]() Nancy Kaplan, MSW, DCSW is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She has been a practicing therapist since 1970 and has been a mediator since 1978. Ms. Kaplan has conducted hundreds of mediations and has trained thousands of children and adults to use mediation skills. Her special interests include divorce counseling, mediation, foster care and adoption issues, individual, couples counseling, child guidance, and work with adolescents. Ms. Kaplan received her BA from Brown University and her MSW degree from the University of Washington. She served on the board of the Academy of Family Mediators, and as Chair of the Education Section of the Association for Conflict Resolution where she is an Advanced Practitioner member. In addition to writing numerous articles published in professional journals, Ms. Kaplan has developed extensive conflict mediation curricula including manuals and videos, and has made presentations at national conferences on topics of cultural awareness and conflict resolution. Ms. Kaplan spends her spare time with her husband and eight children: six of whom are adopted and are an integral part of her multi-cultural family. . . . ![]() Deanna B. Morris, MSW has over fifteen years' experience working with young children, youth, and adults. She has counseled severely disturbed youth both in individual and group settings. Ms. Morris also has experience counseling adoptive parents and birth parents involved in foster care/adoption programs. Ms. Morris has provided counseling services at Tranquility Bay, a lock-up facility for troubled youth located in Jamaica, West Indies. Ms. Morris has lead group sessions on adoption, diversity and cultural awareness issues and has presented workshops at several national and international conferences. Ms. Morris counsels individuals, couples, and groups. Ms. Morris received her BA in both Social Work and Sociology from Whittier College and her MSW from University of Washington. She was born in Colombia, SA and was adopted by an American family at age three.
